Gradio: light online radio app

Gradio

Gradio is an easy to use radio for the Linux desktop written in GTK3. While there are several options to listen to online radio on Linux (e.g. pmrp for cli, Radio Tray or my favourite YaRock), fresh options are always welcome.

Gradio uses the Community Radio Browser as its source. While it doesn’t have so many channels as in YaRock, a community based initiative can grow rapidly if it becomes popular. Hopefully, Gradio will contribute to it.

Gradio uses the gstreamer library in the background and doesn’t have too many dependencies. It installed smoothly on Ubuntu 16.04.

Features

  • discover channels from overview
  • search channels

The app is still under development so expect glitches.
