Vineyard Preferences

Vineyard is a set of utilities and libraries for smoother integration of Wine on your system. You can maintain application-specific Wine configurations, manage themes or see running Wine programs in the indicator.

Components

  • vineyard-preferences: a Gnome preferences-like configuration utility for Wine default or separate configs, somewhat similar to the concept of bottles in Crossover. It can also configure virtual hard drives or wineprefixes of other utilities.
  • nautilus-wine: right-click Nautilus integration for Wine.
  • python-wine: can interface with the Wine Registry Database or control various Wine functions (achieved by winecfg, regedit, wine uninstall) like:
    • drives
    • themes
    • program managing
    • basic AppDB integration

Installation

To install Vineyard on Ubuntu, run:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cybolic/vineyard-testing
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install vineyard
