ps -ax and
top do the job for me but what if you are looking for some spice in the way you dig into processes on Linux? A new python utility ptop does it for you.
ptop supports 5 beautiful themes at the time of writing. Navigation and sorting processes by memory usage is made easy through keybinds. It can also show a top-like output.
To install ptop on our system, run:
$ sudo pip install ptop
ptop does not support python 3 yet, so you may need to run:
$ sudo pip2.7 install ptop
