ptop: task manager for Linux

ps -ax and top do the job for me but what if you are looking for some spice in the way you dig into processes on Linux? A new python utility ptop does it for you.

ptop supports 5 beautiful themes at the time of writing. Navigation and sorting processes by memory usage is made easy through keybinds. It can also show a top-like output.

To install ptop on our system, run:

$ sudo pip install ptop

ptop does not support python 3 yet, so you may need to run:

$ sudo pip2.7 install ptop

For all the help you need:

$ ptop -h
