We explored how to use FrootVPN earlier and vpnbook isn’t much difference. You don’t need to create a user account with vpnbook and it’s 100% free. Servers are available in Europe as well as US. To use the service, visit vpnbook and click on the tab openvpn. Note down the username and password. Download any of the bundles. I tried the first one. Extract the ovpn files and save under /etc/openvpn directory. Here’s how to connect to a VPN service:
$ sudo openvpn vpnbook-euro1-udp53.ovpn
Provide the username and password you saved earlier. If you don’t want to re-enter those every time or remember those, add them to a text file under /etc/openvpn, one in each line. Now edit the ovpn file you want to use and add the following line above the encrypted certificate:
