Flash is not doing well for a long time. However, the reason it is still surviving is probably it was spread widely on the internet in its sunnier days. With HTML5 coming up as a good alternative things are changing rapidly and Flash is losing it’s popularity rapidly. The question is, which technology is going to substitute Flash for building quick apps and games?
We found a very fresh Flash alternative, OpenFL, which is Flash plus some truly exciting features:
- Open source, hack the source to use it your way
- Build games and applications once and run on all major platforms and devices of today: Linux, Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Firefox OS, Tizen, Flash and even HTML5
- Easy to use APIs, powerful and flexible programming language
- Good documentation and active forums.
